** Check out our other Game Jams :) **

How to Play:
Controller recommended!
Move critter: Left stick / Arrow keys
Charge attack: A button / Spacebar

Move and combine crystals to add critical damage to your heroes fireball attacks, and nerf the damage of the enemy fireballs. Your hero will find random relics on the overworld which will make the battles easier!

Main Theme Design:
This game was made for Godot Wild Jam 84 by Tim Day, Dom Lawlor and Jake Archer. The theme of the jam was CRITTERS. We spitballed a few ideas such as a sonic-style platformer as a roly poly, an auto-battler where you create giant critters out of insect parts, and even an idle clicker of a terrarium!
But the idea that we latched onto was using the word 'critter' as 'one who administers critical hits'. We imagined JRPG style battles, where instead of controlling the actions of the hero, you control a critter that boosts the heroes attacks and nerfs the enemies attacks.

Wildcards:
Rage Room: Each level has small crystal obstacles that get in your way. These can be destroyed by hitting them with fast moving crystals.
Personalized Copy: The overworld features roguelike style relic pickups that modify the rest of the run. You only get 4 per run and they are randomly placed each time. In the spirit of only controlling the critter and not the hero, you don't get to pick between a selection of relics, its totally random.

dev finally beats his own game haha - if you can get a better time post it here :)

I really like the idea. Haven't seen the combining mechanic used like this. Unfortunately I got a crash =/ Added a screenshot, maybe you can do something with that.

hey thanks for playing - that crash should be fixed now! <3
